Psalms 27:1

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?

  • Church Membership: Voice of Hope Deliverance Church, Philadelphia, PA

  • Sister Primer’s Background: Born and raised in the Methodist Church and now Pentecostal, Sister Primer, has been serving the Lord for many years, both inside the church and with her team of “Street-Corner” Evangelists.

  • Sister Primer’s Reflections: I first realized there was a Call on my life to serve when I was in my thirties and God came to me in a dream. I was raised in a Methodist Church and was a committed usher but had stopped because I had experienced “church hurt”.

  • Sister Primer’s Challenges: I wanted to obey God, but was fearful and refused to answer His Calling me back into ministry. It took me years before I agreed to return to my ministry.

  • Sister Primer’s Testimony: I testify how Christ was a healer and “by His stripes we are healed.” I’ve witnessed a boy who was shot miraculously walk out of the hospital completely healthy because God healed him. His family saw the power of Isaiah 54, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.”

  • Sister Primer’s Observations: I was a good-hearted person full of love. I would help my family with their problems, go to church, then go to the club and party all night long.

  • Sister Primer’s Most Significant Accomplishment: Encouraging people in the Lord. While working in Jefferson Hospital, I have had the opportunity to lead patients and their family members to Christ.

  • Sister Primer’s Vision for the Church: Ministry is not like a traditional job where you work from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, from Monday through Friday. Ministry is a 24/7 commitment that changes daily and the more you do it, the more God gives you to do. We must be willing to help the poor, especially homeless children who are the most vulnerable. We must read Jesus’ Word and pray to remain open and giving when ministering to His people.
